About the Role

Alpha Group is seeking a seasoned, experienced enterprise Business Development Director to join our growing company’s leadership team. In this role, you are responsible for developing and executing the enterprise sales strategies that drive revenue for the company in America, and monitoring and reporting on sales goals, adjusting tactics as needed to reach them. 

To be successful as a Business Development Director you have good leadership skills and the ability to drive company success. You have in-depth knowledge of the market and competitive products; and have excellent interpersonal, and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will actively manage and have the ability to roll up their sleeves to drive sales growth. You will directly impact the growth and success of Alpha Group through helping us build the enterprise segment and our platform offering into this segment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual and quarterly sales growth targets by successfully motivating and managing the sales team.
  • Design and implement business strategies that expand Alpha Group’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in the market.


  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with and understanding their needs.
  • Present realistic and achievable revenue forecasts to the management team, own sales budgets.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Closely collaborate with the marketing and customer success departments to identify the right customer bases and support them through their customer journey.
  • Identify where improvements can be made and develop sales plans, and strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Create sales reports and provide feedback to the rest of the leadership team. 
  • Establish and maintain key customer relationships.

Job Requirements

About You

  • Successful previous experience as a Business Development Director with upper mid-market enterprise customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence the finance/Accounts payable/shared services team of medium to large enterprise. 
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales strategies and methods; and excellent leadership.
  • Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
  • Accounting, Finance, Spend Management SaaS product knowledge is advantageous.
